A Live Score App Without Betting: Why BuffScore Leaves the Odds Out

Open most score apps during a match and the score is not the only number on the screen. Next to it sit the odds, a price for the next goal, a banner for a bonus. That is not an accident: betting companies pay well to be next to live sport, and many score apps are funded that way.

BuffScore is built on the opposite rule. There are no odds, no tips and no bookmaker promotions anywhere in the app.

What "no betting" covers

• No odds anywhere: not on the scores list, the match page, or the tables.

One thing BuffScore does not write itself: the News tab shows headlines from sports publishers, which link back to their own sites. The headlines are theirs; everything else on the screen is ours.
